Feel the Rhythm...
(This guy pictured above was so intense. I have never seen so many back muscles working in my life.)
What do you get when you combine Japanese precision, rhythm, and passion? The KODO drummers. I saw them last night. Amazing.
On another note...
Back on Halloween, I went out to King's Tap, a Western-style bar in Shinchon, Seoul dressed as a dancing machine (inspired by Robb Hunter's costume in 2005). This cool cat editor from FeetManSeoul.com put me in his blog amongst other clever outfits.
Description reads: "This one was pretty funny, and a very social costume. You push play… And she dances a kinda goofy version of “The Robot” until it gets a bit awkward, at which point you figure out the joke and hit the “STOP” button. I thought it was cute as hell."
Check the article here. FeetManSeoul is absolutely wonderful. It is a great place to check out Seoul street fashion.

Featured!
Thanks to Mike Roller! Our class's work was featured on NotCot and Mike's blog. Lucky me, that's a close-up photo of my model on the NotCot tag.
Great job to everyone this quarter. I was super impressed by their stories and how everyone has upped the level of their work this year. Whoo!
Also, thank you, Mike, for setting the bar of UC design professors. Above all, it has really motivated us to push our limits and present ourselves well.

The Best Time is Food Time
As the lovely Sylvia has put it, the best time is food time. Which, can basically be anytime!
Here are some yummy things I have cooked this quarter:
Kimchi Jjigae (Kimchi Stew- Kimchi, Soft Tofu, Delicious Gochujang-Red Pepper Paste blend,Tuna, Green Onion, Jalapeno...) I usually add ramen because it is faster to make then rice.
This is a sandwich. Rosemary and Olive Oil Bread with sauteed steak, portabella mushrooms, jalapeno, green onions, with hummus and goat cheese spread. Strawberries on the side.
Stir fry spinach, pepper sausage, spinach, portabella mushrooms, paprika, with strawberries, carrots, goat-cheese spread on sesame toast.
Japanese curry with eggplant, yam, pepper, carrot. With "toasted" fried rice with spinach, egg.

Inky Tea
We did a tea kettle project in our Design Communications studio.
I wanted to do a characterization to give some edge to the design (aka most tea kettles today are pretty standard and boring). My design solution is that this tea kettle is a tea kettle in a cup--a cup kettle, if you will. It is for individuals who like to relax with a cup of tea at home.
Check out the process book.
P.S. It was my first time with hypershot. It was amazing.
